The delegation of Brest State Technical University (BSTU) visited Unitsky String Technologies Inc. During the visit, the CEO of UST Inc. Nadezhda Kosareva and the Rector of the BSTU Alexander Bakhanovich signed an agreement on cooperation in research and development and training of engineering personnel.

The delegation included the deans of the faculties of mechanical engineering and electronic information systems Sergey Onysko and Svetlana Lebed, as well as the head of the media information department Natalia Vinnik. Representatives of the university got acquainted with the activities of design bureaus and visited the department, where the BSTU graduates also work today.

«We work with modern software and have been designing in BIM technology for a long time. Young specialists who come to the company are immediately immersed in the environment in which the entire progressive world works. This is a great opportunity for graduates to apply theoretical knowledge in practice», — noted the head of the department, Maxim Kubyshkin.

The key moment of the visit was the signing of a cooperation agreement between Unitsky String Technologies Inc. and BSTU. The parties agreed on joint work in the research and development field and training of engineering personnel, as well as on cooperation in other areas. According to preliminary agreements, the university students will be able to practice at the UST Inc. with possible employment after its completion.

The participants of the visit were positively impressed by the scale of the "SW PLANT" production complex and the assembly of the rolling stock. The guests were introduced with modern equipment for the manufacture of uPods cases — motor-wheels, engines, energy storage devices and other elements of uST transport.

The visitors also appreciated the possibilities of transport and infrastructure complexes in the EcoTechnoPark — the innovation center of the UST Inc. The guests were shown the exhibits of the uST transport museum, passenger stations and the control room. The delegation was particularly impressed by the demonstration of the six-seat uCar and the 14-seat uBus, as well as the ride in uPods.

The Rector of the BSTU Alexander Bakhanovich noted that the future belongs to this type of transport, and its implementation allows the development of many related technologies and areas in mechanical engineering, material processing, materials science and other areas.

The meeting ended with a discussion of areas of cooperation. Among them — the joint holding of scientific events, lectures and practical classes, the implementation of joint innovation projects, as well as interaction in a number of other areas.
